Introduction to Microtonal Music Dataset v1

Overview

The Microtonal Music Dataset is a musical dataset that can be used for research purposes such as generating and analyzing music containing microtones. This dataset is composed of 100 microtonal music pieces, and it is anticipated to be used for various tasks, including machine learning and music analysis targeting music with microtones. How to Use the Dataset

Precautions

Please note that this dataset is not available for purposes other than research.
Additionally, usage by individuals not listed on the application form and the transfer of dataset data to third parties is prohibited.


How to Obtain the Dataset

Please follow the instructions below and send an e-mail with the attached application form.
After verifying the contents, we will send you a download link for the dataset.

  1. Download the application form from the link below.
  2. After reading and agreeing to all the terms in the application form, please fill in the required details. If you cannot agree, you will not be able to use the dataset.

  3. Attach the completed application form and send it to the e-mail address below.
  4. After sending the e-mail with the attached application form, a decision will be made on the eligibility to use the Microtonal Music Dataset.

  5. If permission is granted, the dataset administrators will send you a download link within a few days.

Dataset Contents

Included Files

The Microtonal Music Dataset v1 includes 100 microtonal music pieces. Each piece is assigned a music ID ranging from 001 to 100, and they are separated into folders by each piece.
The following files/folders are included in each piece's folder. (XXX = music ID)
